Silence of the Lambs, Blackmail Press

Thanks to Blackmail Press for including my prose poem Silence of the Lambs in Issue 46,

published in March 2025.

Blackmail Press and its editor Doug Poole and his team have been long-time supporters of poetry writing in Aotearoa/New Zealand. The journal was created around 20 years ago to give poets and poetry lovers a site to submit and read great poetry.

The issues generally don’t have a theme, but bmp likes to present an eclectic range of voices from Aotearoa and beyond. Doug Poole, in a message to the poets in this latest issue, says it is ‘the poets who have made this journal what it is and for that I am so very grateful.’ He adds, ‘Fa'afeti Lava to each and every one of you - I hope you enjoy the issue as much as we have here at bmp!’
